After the recent risk-off tone, largely induced by December central bank decisions, Wednesday’s session produced a more positive feel across financial markets. Equities rallied while currencies saw mixed performances. As this week draws to a close, in turn, pushing closer toward the holiday break, it’s likely volatility wanes as liquidity is drastically reduced.
Today’s economic calendar will see US and UK GDP as well as some further tier 2 US releases. As mentioned above, it’s highly likely market movement is restricted from here onwards, the caveat being if there are any major headlines or developments which occur.
We’ll be open all days across the holiday period which are not either weekends or Bank Holidays but, please note, Friday 23rd and 30th of December will both be early closes (1 pm).
